I was lucky enough to attend the Developing Doulas Preparation course in Feb 2016, after much thought about how I could put my passion for supporting mother, baby and their family to good use.
I have also be priviledged enough to have supported many friends and acquaintances in their antenatal and early postnatal journeys, from helping them understand their birth choices and feel confident in their choices, to helping establish feeding, support with baby carriers, taking older siblings out to give mum space and everything in-between.
I also have three children of my own – each has been a unique experience and each has led me down a path of new experiences.
What has become apparent is just how crucial support is, be it emotional, physical or practical. I am here to offer you support and allow those early days to be as gentle and as sacred a transition as possible.
I have a current first aid certificate, covering paediatrics and a current DBS. I have recently begun training to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor.
